Get it

Download

Free, portable and offline. There is no installer and nothing is written to the registry — the whole application is one folder you can copy anywhere.

Version 1.0 · Windows 10 & 11 · 64-bit

Download for Windows

Includes Cornilescu 1924 and the King James Version.
More translations download from inside the app.

Getting it running

  1. Unzip the folder somewhere sensible — C:\ScriptureCaster\ is a good home. Avoid the Desktop and OneDrive-synced folders.
  2. Run ScriptureCaster.exe.
  3. Before your first service, open a command prompt in that folder and run ScriptureCaster.exe --selftest. It checks the screens, the fonts and the database on the machine that will actually be used.

What Windows will say

The download is not code-signed — a certificate costs several hundred dollars a year, which is not where donated money should go. Windows SmartScreen may warn you the first time. Choose More info → Run anyway.

Older versions and source

Each release is a self-contained folder, so keeping the previous one is as simple as not deleting it. If you want to build from source or check what the program does, ask — it is written in Python and the source is available to anyone who wants it.
